Designed Features offers a professional makeup artistry service specialising in individual makeup designs for weddings and special occasions. Gillian is a freelance makeup artist based in Crieff in Perthshire, and travels throughout the surrounding area including Stirling, Dundee, Perth, Kinross, and Pitlochry to accommodate all clients in their chosen venue. Gillian also offers makeup lessons in the comfort of your own home where she can simplify makeup applications using her own materials or demonstrating how to skillfully apply products from your own makeup bag.
Pamper parties, hen nights and teenage parties, for groups of between 3-8 persons, are also catered for wherever required.
Gillian uses a variety of top makeup brands (eg. Bobbi Brown, Benefit, Dermalogica, Bare Escentuals, L'Oreal etc) selected principally to suit each individual's skin type and to achieve the desired look. Her current favourites are pure bare mineral foundations which are extremely kind to the skin and, because they are so light in texture, are particularly suited to those who dislike heavy, mask-like foundations.
As a beauty therapist with her own local salon, Gillian can provide pre-wedding beauty therapy treatments eg:
french manicures
tanning
waxing
massage, etc.
either in her studio or in the comfort of your own home.
Skin camouflage makeup for birthmarks, tattos, etc. is also undertaken and Gillian is happy to carry out or demonstrate special effects makeup for drama groups, stage performance, youth clubs etc. She even offers makeup demonstrations and skincare talks for ladies' groups etc.
Gillian is a member of the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology and has professional qualifications in all aspects of makeup and beauty therapy. Full consultations are always carried out to ensure the finished look is sympathetic to every client's needs.
All services are completely mobile and Gillian will travel to your home or event venue as required.
